Sciences Humaines
In social studies we have been learning all about Prince Rupert. We are also looking at the National Parks of Canada. I will update this page with information on different national parks every couple of days. The students really enjoyed these lessons and it could be a chance for them to speak to you about all they have learned!

where: This national park is in the province of ONTARIO.
what to do:
- 7 different hikes and a few of them are perfect for kids and families! You don't even need special tools
- 2 really big lakes to swim in. One of them is Lake Huron a Canadian Great Lake!...but the water is VERY cold
- You can go canoeing on these lakes too! There are lots of coves and inlets to discover
- In the wintertime you can go snowshoeing or cross country skiing on the trails.
- There is a special place called "The Grotto". It is a cave containing bright blue water that you can explore! You have to hike over cliffs to get there though!
- Prince Rupert --> Vancouver --> Toronto... then you rent a car and drive for 3 hours and 50 minutes. It is like driving from here to Smithers.
- you can camp or sleep in a YURT.
- when out in the water, you should have a life vest and make sure to carry bandaids and a first aid kit when out for a hike.
- your animals must stay on a leash
- never feed wild animals
- be careful of rattlesnakes and black bears. and poison ivy too!
